PRESS INFORMATION Kombimatec Witness the Rush into uPVC in India Kombimatec Machines recently exhibited their uPVC window machinery at the window & door exhibition in Mumbai (formerly Bombay) India and witnessed a rush of local companies starting up fabrication plants. India is a booming economy and building is a major growth area with large housing development complexes under construction in all the main cities. Aluminium has hitherto been the dominant material used for windows but uPVC is becoming more widely accepted as an alternative and is destined to take a fair share of the window market. ‘It was just like the UK market was 25 years ago with nearly every visitor to our stand wanting to know exactly what they need to start fabricating’ said their MD Derek Parsons. ‘Very exciting and real joy to pass on our knowledge and experience to these newcomers and help them get into manufacturing with the minimum of fuss and give them lots of confidence of making it a success’ Kombimatec have been exporting to India for more than 3 years and have already assisted several local fabricators to begin fabricating. The Indian market demands a wide range of window types including outward opening casement and horizontal multi-track sliding and Kombimatec has the ideal range of machines to produce them efficiently. The after sales service provided by Kombimatec means they score well in India. Kombimatec’s valuable experience of fabricating internally glazed windows is proving to be highly beneficial to new entrants to the India uPVC window market.
