Kombimatec Welders With A Solid Steel Construction Prove To Be Favourites

With Experienced Window Fabricators

Kombimatec have been manufacturing PVC welding machines in Luton for almost 30 years. From the outset build quality has been their focus and has always constructed welding machines using solid steel rather than aluminium. This is probably why so many old machines are still in use today. A steel constructed welding machine has many advantages. Steel is far more stable. The heat created by the welding plates causes many materials to expand and contract. However, steel grows and shrinks to a far less extent than aluminium. Furthermore aluminium doesn’t always shrink back to its’ original shape. Threaded holes and slots are more durable in steel compared to aluminium. Aluminium is a softer material and tapped holes are more easily damaged and slots stretched. Once these fixings points are damaged they are difficult to repair effectively.

Manufacturing cost of the machine is the only advantage because the machining time is greatly reduced. Heat can also generate rust on a welding machine.

Kombimatec only use plated or stainless steel screws and nuts to protect them from oxidising. Other features loved by operators are the simplicity of use. S

witching from corner to transom welding is quick and uncomplicated because no tools are required. Some examples of long term owners of Kombimatec welders who have recently returned to purchase again include Warwick Developments – Sheffield, Roundbrand – Doncaster, Astra – Gillingham, Evolution – Biggleswade and Calibre – Birmingham.

No better testament exists.
